Essential fatty acids are composed of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). These beneficial effects are achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. The added vitamin D contributes to the correct absorption of calcium and phosphorus, to the normal level of calcium in the blood, to the maintenance of healthy bones, to the proper functioning of muscles, to the maintenance of healthy teeth and to the proper functioning of the immune system. Vitamin K contributes to proper blood clotting and to maintaining healthy bones.
